Biltwell Bonneville EZ-T100 Project

Posted by on Jun 24, 2013 in Bikes, Product | Comments Off on Biltwell Bonneville EZ-T100 Project

UntitledWe recently hooked up with the guys over at Biltwell on their new Bonneville Project. They asked for an all around great performing shock with a minimal look. The 444 Series Shocks were the first to come to mind. With the ability to adjust spring pre-load by hand with no special tool needed. These shocks are truly an everyday riders shock.

Here is a letter from “McGoo” at Biltwell to our Marketing Director David Zemla.

Dear Dave,

I see you went MTB riding last weekend. If you don’t mind pulling a fat man up the hills I would love to go on a ride with you some time. I’m getting back onto the bike semi-regularly these days for fun and to try to regain some fitness in my middle ages, so I could use a fellow motorcycle nerd to keep me company on the trails. Let me know if you are interested.

Attached pls find some Progressive Suspension-freindly photos of The Biltwell EZ-T100 project. The 444′s work great on this machine, and it has quickly proven to be the funnest, best-sounding bike in our quiver. Thanks goes to British Customs for providing the pipes, battery box eliminator and jetting to make this thing sing.

I loaded it up in the van today and Mike Deutsch is taking her and Bill’s panhead to Chicago this weekend for Mods and Rockers. After that the van and these bikes go to Lowbrow, where they will stay until one of us flies out every third weekend or so from now till October to hit some east coast events. It’s time for Biltwell to spread its wings east of the Mississippi, and this was the leanest and cleanest way to do it. We have high hopes for making an impact with Hinckley Triumph riders as new parts roll out, and this is the best way we know to gets some hands-on love with this audience. In addition to the M&R event this weekend, we’ll be dragging this bike to Gypsy Run 7, The Brooklyn Invitational, The Lowbrow Getdown, The Chicago Music Festival, and Vintage Days at Barber Motorcycle Museum October 11-13. I will personally be attending the events highlighted in blue.

Feel free to tell people the Biltwell crew rely on your shocks and fork kits for all their skunkwork bikes and personal motorcycles, because it’s true!

Right on McGoo, hope to see you on that bike after the tour!

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is encouraging all motorcyclists to commute to work on a motorcycle for national Ride to Work Day. “Ride to Work Day is a great way to show that motorcycles are fun to ride as well as an economical way to transport yourself from one point to another,” said AMA President and CEO Rob Dingman.

Here at Progressive Suspension a lot of us ride and own bikes. This year we did a little video to honor the day and had 14 employees participate. Check out the video below:
